Roles and Responsibilities of Advisor

The Scholarship Committee is responsible for ensuring a fair, transparent, and rule-based process for awarding scholarships. The Committee scrutinizes and verifies all submissions based on prescribed eligibility criteria, such as merit and means. The Scholarship Committee of the University, upon receipt of applications from eligible students, shall undertake a detailed scrutiny of all submissions in accordance with the prevailing rules and guidelines of the University. After careful examination and verification of the prescribed eligibility criteria, the Committee shall determine the candidates who qualify for the scholarship. Based on this assessment, a list of eligible candidates shall be prepared and, upon approval by all members of the Committee, the finalized list shall be submitted to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor for sanction and necessary approval. Upon receiving such approval, further steps for the disbursement of scholarships shall be initiated in accordance with the University procedures. The Committee also maintains proper records, ensures compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, and addresses grievances if any.
