The NALSAR Student Law Review (NSLR)

The NALSAR Student Law Review is the annual, double-blind, student-edited and peer-reviewed law review of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. As the flagship publication of the University, NSLR is committed to encouraging and enhancing quality legal scholarship in India.

With its first volume published in 2005, NSLR was the University’s first student-run journal, exemplifying the spirit of student-led scholarship and initiative for academic rigour. Its primary purpose is to encourage students to undertake critical analysis of the law, encompassing legal doctrines, emerging jurisprudence, and evolving policy debates within both domestic and international legal frameworks.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives, recognising the intersection of law with diverse fields across the humanities as well as, increasingly, technology. It provides students an opportunity to contribute to legal scholarship through long-form essays, articles, case notes, legislative analyses, and book reviews; while also helping them develop skills in legal research, writing, and editorial practice.

NSLR follows a collaborative editorial process that supports authors through multiple stages of review and editing, while maintaining rigorous standards of academic integrity.
