Student Services Committee

The Student Services Committee (SSC), a relatively recent addition to the institutional framework, was established in response to the UGC mandate to promote and safeguard the overall welfare of students on campus. Therefore, the SSC engages with matters that primarily are non-academic in nature but are pivotal for enhancing the quality of both the academic life as well as their social life. The SSC is conscious of the extent of mental pressure that the students might experience and hence organises workshops for students and faculty on various aspects of mental health. Ensuring fair and equitable distribution of available resources such as learning devices; fostering conversations with other committees for more student-friendly policies; identifying aspects that affect  students’ holistic development/wellbeing and  recommending infrastructural and scholastic initiatives that enhance learning experiences are some of the tasks SSC is entrusted with.
