“Birds at NALSAR” group  was started from the batch of 2025. Given the proximity of campus to Shamirpet Lake, an area known for its natural surroundings, scrub forests, and water bodies, NALSAR’s diversity of birdlife is one to boast of. The rich mix of habitats attracts a wide variety of species, making the campus an ideal setting for observing both resident and migratory birds.

This is a group of bird enthusiasts who come together to explore and appreciate this natural wealth. Members regularly venture out with cameras and binoculars, capturing photographs of birds in their natural habitat. These sightings often become opportunities for learning, as the group collectively works to identify different species, discuss their features, and share knowledge about their behavior and calls.

Beyond photography and identification, the group fosters a deeper connection with nature. It encourages patience, observation, and curiosity, turning simple walks around campus into engaging experiences. For many members, it is not just about spotting birds, but about understanding and preserving the environment that makes such diversity possible.
